In Spain, the State Permanent Commission on Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports fined and banned a fan who was found to have racially insulted Real Madrid football player Vinicius Junior during the Mallorca-Real Madrid match.


The commission affiliated to the Supreme Council of Sports announced its decision regarding the fans who were found to have racially insulted Real Madrid’s Brazilian football player Vinicius from the stands during the Mallorca-Real Madrid match played in the Spanish 1st Football League on February 5.


The commission imposed a ban on all sports competitions for 12 months with a fine of 4 thousand euros to the fans who committed a racist act.


Regarding the fan in question, the Spanish National Police demanded a fine of 3,000 euros and a 6-month ban on sports competitions.


On the other hand, the commission declared the Barcelona-Real Madrid match, which will be played in the league on March 19, “high risk”.
