Because at the end of April the twelve impressive boulders were moved to the hunebed center in Borger, where the unveiling took place today. Ans Appelman-Honig was a special guest.
She moved from Hoorn to Gasselternijveen in Drenthe twenty years ago and has a bond with the boulders. RTV Drenthe looked for her during the unveiling. “They keep haunting me,” she says laughing.
‘They were always delicious’
In his mind, Appelman goes back to her childhood in Hoorn. “They were always wonderful. For example, when we started fishing. I’m just going to see if they are still so comfortable!”
Moments later she takes a seat. “It just feels familiar. It’s my buddies, let me just say it. It gives a familiar feeling.”
