Fall overshadows Hinze’s victory in track cycling championships

Alessa-Catriona Pröpster and Lara-Sophie Jäger also had to go to the hospital for further observation.

In the men’s sprint, Maximilian Dörnbach from Cottbus also won his third title. The 27-year-old won the final in two runs against Marc Jurczyk from Erfurt. Third was Nik Schröter from Cottbus. In the elimination drive, the title went to Franziska Brausse, who won the third gold medal in the Cottbus days.

In the Madison, the pairing of Moritz Malcharek/Moritz Augenstein surprisingly won. The duo prevailed with 60 points ahead of the reigning European champions Theo Reinhardt/Roger Kluge. In the women’s scratch, Hanna Dopjans from RSV Irschenberg won.
