A 19-year-old woman was arrested in Emmen earlier this week because she would have scammed herself as a police officer and people. According to the police, the woman from the municipality of Weststellingwerf has made dozens of victims.
The young Friezin himself reported to the police. Earlier images of her were shared, including via social media.
She lifted a 90-year-old woman from Amersfoort in March. It was called with the announcement that an agent would come to her door to pick up things. “The victim let the suspect in, after which they looked together at the valuable goods.” According to the fake agent, the things had to be taken to a safe place as quickly as possible.
The victim kicked in and also gave her debit card. This made money in Amsterdam. In the following days, the woman struck in several places in Amersfoort. In all cases it was about older people. The oldest victim was 98 years old. In some cases, the fake agent did not strike after being asked for a proof of identity. “Of course the suspect could not, on which she quickly left again.”
According to the police, the Friezin struck all over the country. “The suspect reported himself after she had again tried to inform someone as a fake agent in Emmen.” The woman has been detained since Monday and will be brought before the examining magistrate tomorrow. He decides whether she will be held longer.
The police emphasize that they never ask for personal information. “We will also never come to your door to pick up things.”
