A cop was beaten in his face on Thursday at the end of the afternoon. He tried to appeal to a 40-year-old resident of Hoeven because he violated a shopping ban in Sint Janstraat, but that got out of hand. According to the police, the suspect did not want to leave, was visible under the influence and became aggressive.
After several warnings to leave, he hit one of the agents in the face. The Hoevenaar has been arrested. In the police bus to the cellar complex, he brought destruction to the bus.
The man is questioned later. The agent was injured and reports mistreatment.
