FAAR looks back on a successful weekend

With a varied programme, FAAR tried to offer something for everyone. In Ostend, visitors could visit lectures and interviews, but also follow a guided walk or participate in a workshop. With more than fifty activities in De Grote Post, Thermae Palace, De Cierk, KAAP, Kris Lambert Library, the Europa Center, ‘t Leeshuus and Kursaal Oostende, the festival was felt throughout the city.

Big names

The book festival could count on the presence of many big names such as Jean Blaute, Ann Wauters and author Tom Lanoye. Mayor Bart Tommelein was also present and looks back with satisfaction: “We are pleased that this 2nd edition of FAAR has confirmed all the good things from last year. The good growth in audience shows that there is still a lot of potential. We will therefore continue to build on this unique non-fiction book festival in the coming years.”

A promise is a promise, because the organization announced that a third edition is already planned. Make a note in the agenda: FAAR will return with a third edition from 8-10 March 2024.
