World Cup leader Charles Leclerc opened the weekend in Saudi Arabia with the fastest time in the first free practice. Just before the checkered flag was waved, the Monegask briefly appeared below Max Verstappen’s time: 1.30.772 at 1.30.888 for the Ferrari driver softer tires. So not many conclusions can be drawn yet.
