De La Soul have streamed the single “Eye Know” from their debut album 3 Feet High And Rising. A high-resolution version of the original music video was released for the re-release, followed by a lyric video on February 8th.

“Eye Know” is the second song from the album to be re-released after “The Magic Number”. The title was first released in 1989. Like all the other songs on “3 Feet High And Rising”, it was produced by Prince Paul. The record is characterized by samples from the genres jazz, rock and country. For example, “Eye Know” features Otis Redding’s whistling from the song “(Sittin’ On) the Dock of the Bay.” The song title is taken from Steely Dan’s hit “Peg”.

From March 3rd, De La Soul’s entire music catalog will be available on all major streaming platforms. So far, only selected songs and three albums are available. The band is also reissuing all of their albums on CD, vinyl and cassette. These should be available over time.
