With an explosion in the Geulstraat, a car was damaged on, among other things, the hood and the windshield. The police are investigating the case and has included a report.
According to a police spokeswoman, the explosion was last night. Bystanders announced that the explosion was caused by heavy fireworks, but the police do not want to confirm that. The spokeswoman calls on people to report if they have more information, such as camera images.
Last month there were two explosions in the nearby Lekstraat, for which a minor suspect was eventually arrested. The police do not suspect that the explosion in Geulstraat has to do with that.
