The neighborhood of the Valaar in Wilrijk woke up this morning with a loud bang. An explosion took place in the Pieter Van Passenstraat around 6 a.m. An explosive device caused damage to two homes on the street. Some doors and windows were damaged. There were no injuries.

Police are on the scene and have closed the road for evidence. The DOVO mine clearance service has also arrived in Wilrijk.
A few weeks ago an attack was committed in Wilrijk that was linked to the drug environment. Then a pokebowl case was targeted.
