In the night from Monday to Tuesday, an explosion occurred at the Schute jeweler at Achter de Driesprong in Rosmalen. Around ten past three, an attempt was probably made to destroy a window of the store with heavy fireworks.
The explosion caused significant damage to the building. Despite the large explosion, the perpetrator(s) were unable to gain entry and escaped without any loot. After the explosion, the smoke machine in the building was activated, which probably deterred the perpetrator(s).
It is not yet known how the perpetrator(s) fled. The police are investigating the case and are asking witnesses or people with camera images from the area to come forward.
