An explosion caused damage to the Drents Museum in Assen last night. The police are talking about some kind of burglary. It could possibly be a burglary.

Around a quarter to four there was an explosion at the historic building. The explosion broke several windows in the museum and surrounding buildings.

“It turned out to be a burglary or burglary at a museum,” the police said. The fire brigade received an automatic notification and responded, but it turned out that no fire had broken out.

According to the police, it is unknown whether the perpetrators stole anything. It is also not clear how extensive the damage is to the museum.
