An explosion took place at the D66 party office on Lange Houtstraat in The Hague on Thursday evening. The explosion caused damage to the front door of the building.

The street was immediately cordoned off for investigation. The police, together with specialists, are investigating the cause of the explosion and the material used. A trace of liquid was also found around the office, possibly a flammable substance.

Witnesses report that shortly before the explosion someone ran away from the building. People were still present in the party office at the time of the explosion. A police spokesperson said no one was injured. However, there is a lot of fear among the people who were present in the building.

The explosion damaged the front door. The mailbox blew out of the front door due to the explosion.

The police are further investigating the suspect and the circumstances of the incident.
