There was an explosion last night at a parked car on Smetanalaan in Assen.
That happened around 2 a.m. The police suspect that intent is involved.
Police teams, supplemented by an explosives specialist, conducted an investigation at the scene. The Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service was also present.
Police have not disclosed what type of explosive it is. Officers are in the dark as to why a car would have been targeted.
The police are investigating in the area of Smetanalaan on Saturday.
