“It’s terrible what happened,” Hagendijk says on the phone. He lives in the complex and is chairman of the Owners’ Association (VvE). “The unsafe feeling that has now arisen will not simply go away, it takes time.”

The VvE organized a meeting at which, in addition to many residents, the mayor of Haarlemmermeer was also present.

Concerns in the complex are high after the weekend’s incidents. The building came under fire on Saturday afternoon: several bullets flew through the glass facade and ended up in the gallery behind it. Then an explosion occurred at night. The explosive turned out to be made of heavy fireworks.
