In addition to their own visions of the future, they have also challenged Hilversum residents to think along. This has resulted in more than forty ideas. “That number surprised me nicely. It’s nice that so many unknown people are also creating images for the future,” says Rob Rokses, spiritual father of Collectief Dudok 2050.
Community nursing can be better
A mobility idea that stands out for Roskes is the different approach to community nursing. Where in the past one nurse worked in the neighborhood and did everything by bike, things are different now. Now there are sometimes five nurses active in the same area, who visit all their addresses by car. According to one ‘thinker’, this leads to unnecessary traffic movements.
“Solutions for mobility are not always in traffic matters, but also appear to be in the design of other matters. In this case, the approach to home care,” says Hilversummer.
Plan for park at bus depot
In the field of green, the idea of a Central Park past the bus depot on the Larenseweg. Hilversum would create a green area close to the station, a good alternative to the ‘excuse green’, as the applicants believe.
In the urbanized Kerkelanden district, a working group thinks it is a good plan to create green village greens. The idea is that these types of village squares fit very well in the former sheep village that is Hilversum. “This is not shocking, but it is simply not happening now,” is Roskes’ conclusion.
