TV expert Christoph Kramer is enthusiastic about Barça’s super talent Lamine Yamal. This leads him to a comparison with which he surprises himself.
Before the Champions League game between Borussia Dortmund and FC Barcelona, Kramer surprised himself a little-in terms of Messi’s assessment.
“I would not have thought that I would compare a player with Messi in my life, but in the case of Yamal I have to do that a little,” said the 34-year-old as part of the game at Amazon Prime. There he was present next to Mark van Bommel and Josephine Henning as an expert.
What was meant by Kramer Lamine Yamal, the 17-year-old offensive player Barcelonas, to whom quite a few experts in Spain predict a career similar to Messi-and who had hit the 4-0 end in the first leg. Nevertheless, Kramer was amazed at his own words.
“I think that’s very blatant. But-and now there is a violent statistics, for all statistics fans: If Yamal wants to come up with Messi’s statistics, he has to make 40 goals plus every season in the next 20 years,” clarified Kramer with a view of the almost 700 hits that Messi scored between 2005 and 2021 for Barça.
You can see what Messi is for a player. “It doesn’t exist. I couldn’t believe it, but it is so,” said Kramer.
However, this did not detract from his enthusiasm for Yamal. “I love Lamine Yamal and like to watch him. But it is still a long way to go for him,” concluded the twelve -time German international.
