Harm and Roelof from Sleen are certainly famous in their own region. The cabaret duo has been attracting packed houses for more than thirty years. Mainly in their own Drenthe. They often have a laugh, but sometimes there is also a serious note. They are currently performing with their latest performance: ‘Kraant op ‘t taofelzwilkie’.

For Expeditie Nederland, reporter Ineke Kemper makes a portrait of the two men who, in addition to being colleagues, are also best friends. Harm and Roelof explain how they started as a duo. The two also explain that ‘Harm and Roelof’ is mainly a hobby and what they do on the side.

Harm has been a primary school teacher for many years and Roelof has his own theater café with his wife. And that’s pretty easy, because they perform there regularly. For the residents of Sleen, but also for anyone who wants to come. What is it like to be on stage in the evening in front of your own fellow villagers and to meet them again in the supermarket the next? And what is that actually like for the Sleeners?

You can see it all in this episode of Expeditie Nederland.
