Expansion in France: Mango plans 70 new store openings

The Spanish clothing retailer Mango wants to significantly expand its presence in France. As the company announced on Friday, 70 new openings are planned in the country in the coming years. The aim is to increase the number of points of sale in France to 300 by 2025. As part of the current expansion plan, 20 to 24 new openings per year are planned by then, Mango explained.

At the same time, existing shops are to be renovated. The reopening of the flagship store on Paris’ boulevard Haussmann was celebrated last weekend after an extensive redesign. According to its own statements, Mango is investing a total of 3.5 million euros in the renovation of the flagship store and two other stores in Paris this year.

The clothing retailer has been in France since 1998 and counts the country among its “strategically most important markets”. At the end of last year, Mango said it had 223 stationary points of sale there. Of these, 111 were the company’s own branches and 112 were run by franchise partners. The company is also represented in France with its own online store and on various digital marketplaces.
