Power and feelings in the round
In Antwerp, the Diva (often referred to as “Antwerp Home of Diamonds”) is the museum dedicated to diamonds, jewels and silverware: located in the center of the city, it tells its history as the world diamond capital since the 15th century, exhibiting precious, goldsmith works of art and recreating ancient vaults.
His latest exhibition? Rings That Rockintended to delve deeper into the evolution of extraordinary rings. From aristocratic power to love stories, the exhibition explores the meaning and symbolism of stunningly designed rings that, over time, have been more than just jewelry. And it explains how a small object can hold the power of profound meaning, through seven centuries of symbolism and design.

A shining chamber of wonders
«As Venetians we are thrilled that Dries Van Noten, one of the most innovative designers of our time, has chosen Venice for his new foundation: an extraordinary presence in the cultural panorama of the city». Mario and Cristina Codognato proudly talk about their presence as the only jewelry brand in the first exhibition The Only True Protest is Beauty, to the Dries Van Noten Foundation.

From this maison, an icon of histrionic goldsmith art since 1866, the heirs of Attilio Codognato present 15 pieces personally selected by Van Noten at Palazzo Pisani Moretta, between heritage and innovation: owned by collectors or created specifically for the exhibition (until 4 October).
The “talismans” of a true artist
Internationally renowned American goldsmith, painter, sculptor and philosopher, Daniel Brush (1947-2022) was a contemporary alchemist. In his works he managed to combine art, science, poetry and philosophy, challenging the traditional codes of jewellery: thus the Daniel Brush exhibition L’art de la ligne et de la lumière brings to the Parisian École des Arts Joailliers (from 8 June to 4 October) over 75 of his creations including paintings, sculptures, objects and jewels, some exhibited for the first time outside the United States, others “hidden” for years.
Self-taught in goldsmithing, Brush studied the history of jewelery and the talismanic rituals associated with it, working with materials such as gold, steel and aluminium, all handcrafted in his atelier. An exhibition promoted by his wife Olivia Brush with whom, in Manhattan, the artist worked surrounded by ancient machinery collected over the years, questioning the decorative role of classic jewellery.
