Phishers’ favorite SIM card? That is the prepaid SIM card from the British Lyca Mobile, the HLN research cell discovered. They are sold by the hundreds on social media and falsely registered, sometimes even using the identity cards of unsuspecting 13-year-olds. Lyca has been fined several times in our country, and yet it can continue to use Telenet’s network without any problems. How is that possible? And what is Telenet doing about this? “The operators must monitor much more strictly who registers the SIM cards.”
