Our Belgian astronaut Raphaël Liégeois prepared for his first space emission to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2026: they have been busy with that in the United States in recent months. Occasionally he returns to Cologne, where the European Astronaut Center of the ESA is located. An excellent opportunity for our science journalist Martijn Peters to visit him. Together they look back on an eventful year for Liégeois. “I’m proud, but sometimes I also have a hard time with it.”
