On social media such as Snapchat and Telegram, criminal gangs are looking for Belgian drivers to smuggle refugees across the border. Our investigative journalist followed undercover a network of people smugglers who drive as far as Croatia for 8,000 euros per journey, and found at least one Belgian who actually did so. How do those criminals work? The federal public prosecutor’s office has now opened an investigation.
