Funeral company DELA has been paying money to the AZ Zeno in Knokke and Blankenberge for years. The hospital sends an invoice for each body that the funeral director is allowed to collect first. Our reporter was able to look at them and saw that tens of thousands of euros were paid. “Unacceptable,” competitors complain. “DELA pays for exclusive access to bodies.” The hospital and the funeral director deny this.
