The former BVB-Flop Ciro Immobile may be faced with his homeland.
As the Italian “Sky” offshoot reports, Serie-A-Club FC Bologna extends the sensors after the now 35-year-old striker, who is currently earning his buns at Besiktas in the Turkish Süper Lig and is still contractually bound there until 2026. There is already a contact between the parties.
The problem from Bologna’s point of view: Immobile, which kicked at BVB in the 2014/2015 season, earns a lavish annual salary of 6.5 million euros net in Istanbul – far too much for the table ninth of the past season in Italy’s highest division.
It is therefore still open whether it really comes to the Series A comeback from Immobile, it is said.
Besiktas had pissed off the old star last summer for 2.5 million euros from Lazio Rome to the Bosphorus. In 41 games 2024/2025, he reaches 19 goals and four templates.
For Immobile, an era ended with Lazio’s departure: The striker has been playing for the capital club since 2016. In 340 games for the Romans, he scored 207 goals (54 templates). He is a record goal scorer of the club.

Only 34 games and ten goals for BVB
Immobile left significantly less large footprints in his twelve months at BVB, although at that time a whopping 18.5 million euros would be reverse to his ex-club FC Turin.
In Dortmund under coach Jürgen Klopp, the 57-time Italian international strangled extremely. Ten goals and two templates in 34 games were too little for his own demands and that of BVB to him.
Immobile initially switched to Lazio for eight years at Lazio for eight years.
Whether he will soon be kicking against his great love is still in the stars.
