Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the New sticker on T-Online you will find all the important messages about the “red pants”.
Fiete ARP has been under contract with Odense BK in Denmark since this summer. After his time at HSV, Bayern and Holstein Kiel, the now 25-year-old wanted to accept a challenge abroad for the first time.
So far, the move to the super league has paid off: Under coach Alexander Zorniger (formerly RB Leipzig, Stuttgart, Fürth), Fiete ARP is a regular staff. In three league games, the Bad Segeberger has two goals and two templates, with each effort he was directly involved in at least one goal.
The result: two victories and a draw. A game missed Arp because of an injury – Odense BK immediately lost 04 against Vejle BK. After four game days, the promoted team is in fourth place, which is qualified for the championship at the end of the season.
The former HSV and Kiel professional Lewis Holtby continues his career in the Netherlands. The Eredivisie Club Nac Breda announced on Monday that he had hired the 34-year-old midfielder free of charge. Holtby, who was recently captain of Holstein Kiel, receives a contract until 2027.
For the native of Erkelenzer, it is already the tenth station of his professional career. He had previously played in Germany, England and on a European stage, including for Hamburger SV, Schalke 04, Tottenham Hotspur and FSV Mainz 05.
Holtby had announced his farewell from Kiel in spring and wanted to end the season with relegation – but this did not succeed. Breda secured the league remaining in 15th place in the past season.
“With Lewis we have a lot of experience for our team. We immediately felt a connection in the conversations, also because he is a real enthusiast and crowd favorite,” said Breda’s technical director Peter Maas.
While the HSV professionals are still looking for their shape, the “Rotheters” show how to win games: The U19 of Hamburger won the Nordderby at Werder Bremen on Sunday. It was already 3-0 for the HSV during the break, and in the end it was a 4-2 away win.
