The former snowboarder Jeff Keenan died in the mountains. His wife was only a few meters away and could not prevent the misfortune.
It must have been very bad moments for Leanne Pelosi. The wife of the former professional snowboarder Jeff Keenan had to see how her husband and two other athletes were surprised and buried by an avalanche during a video project in the mountains.
She started looking for her partner immediately, digging him out of the snow and tried to reanimate him – in vain. Keenan was only 44 years old. With an emotional message on Instagram, Pelosi now said goodbye to her partner.
She wrote: “You have always been there for me. This is absolutely beyond the shattering. Infinite gratitude that you appeared in my life in the early 2000s. I am grateful forever for the depth of love that I was able to experience.” For her words, Pelosi posted a series of pictures with photos of herself and her late partner.
With a view of the two son of the two, she stated: “More than 20 years of pure love and adventure before we welcomed our first child. I know that in your last breaths of Khyber you thought and gave me the strength to be a support.”
“I cling to all memories of you. I don’t know what to do except to live in the present moment. Unsure what the future is bringing. All I know is that I am damn grateful for being with you and making me the greatest gift in life – Khyber,” continued Pelosi. Numerous people commented under the post and expressed their condolences.
