In December it became known that former Schalke professional Guido Burgstaller was brutally beaten up. Now he has spoken for the first time.
According to media reports, the former Bundesliga player Guido Burgstaller celebrated in December of last year. He was then put down and suffered serious injuries and a broken skull. The ex-Schalker (2017 to 2020) was in the intensive care unit and football was out of the question.

However, the initial time after the bad event was “hard” because he did not know “in which direction the pendulum” is. However, everything would have been “good”.
Burgstaller works on his comeback for Rapid Vienna and wants to go back on the lawn: “This is my ambition. I don’t just want to be substituted, wave and then stop once in the 85th minute. I hope that I quickly get fit, then the principle of performance applies. I am convinced that I can still help rapid.”
However, the striker also admits due to his serious injury: “I will need a head protection. In the first year, the risk is even greater due to the scarring in the brain.”
Guido Burgstaller does not yet know whether he would make lasting damage. However, he still has problems “when it comes to taste and smell” and also hears worse than before on the left ear. In addition, his eyes are more sensitive to light than before.
