Max Meyer will apparently leave Fenerbahce Istanbul after only five months. As “Extra Bladet“ reported, the 26-year-old should sign a contract with FC Midtjylland in Denmark on the deadline day. He traveled to Herning for the medical check on Monday. The three-time champions recently tweeted a picture of a contract without confirming which signed player it is.
Meyer only switched from 1. FC Köln to Fener at the beginning of September 2021, where his contract is valid until 2023. He made twelve competitive appearances for the Turks and scored one goal. He was on the field for 420 of a possible 1,080 minutes. Schalke’s homegrown talent was last called into the starting XI at the end of November.
