Sad news from the NFL: The former star of the Cincinnati Bengals, Rudi Johnson, died at the age of only 45.

Rudi Johnson played in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Lions and achieved 51 touchdowns in his sporty career. Now the earlier runningback has died at the age of only 45. This was announced by the Bengals on their website.

His then coach Jim Anderson likes to think back to the time with Johnson: “On Sunday, Monday or Thursday, whenever the game took place, you could see the shining in his eyes when it started.” The deceased player’s ex-coach added: “He loved it.”

Bengals owner Mike Brown is also cited in a message: “Rudi was a good person and an excellent running back for us. He was reliable and productive as a player and very popular among his teammates.”

According to the Miami-Dade County police, the former football professional died in Miami. The exact cause of death is not yet known. An investigator of the Miami-Dade County police, Joseph R. Peguero Rivera, is said to have said that all previous investigations would indicate suicide. However, the investigation has not yet been completed.

Johnson played seven seasons for the Bengals and is one of the most successful professionals in the team. This is also evidenced by his 5,500 yards. These are the fourth best value for a franchise player. At the Detroit Lions, Johnson could not build on his previous performance. In 2008 he ended his career.
