Ex-miss Paula Joukanen’s moving process to the United States is still stuck in bureaucracy.

Former Miss Paula Joukanen is still waiting for her “green card”, i.e. residence permit for the United States. Joukanen tells about it in his Instagram post.
– The application process for my green card has been ongoing since May 2024, and my application has still not reached the necessary authorities, says Joukanen.
Joukanen already knew about the rigidity of residence permit applications in the United States. But how laborious and expensive the process is came as a surprise to Joukanen.
– Lord, this has been laborious and expensive. Now I have lost about 10 thousand dollars and there is no end in sight, says Joukanen.
– Of course, there have been more twists and turns in my journey than usual, such as the disappearance of a lawyer and money, but now I somewhat understand those who choose an easy and quick marriage instead of a green card or a visa.

In September, Joukanen said on Tiktok that he was a victim of money fraud. Joukonen hired a lawyer to help him with the residence permit. However, the lawyer disappeared with 6,000 euros to the unknown, and Joukanen never heard anything from the lawyer or about the money taken from him.
Joukanen told Iltalehti about his moving plans last summer. A big motive for the move is Joukanen’s partner Ignacio. He lives in the United States and works there in his family’s company.
