Ex-Leipziger Jesse Marsch new manager at Leeds United

Leeds (AP) – Jesse Marsch is the new coach of the relegation-threatened English Premier League club Leeds United.

Almost three months after leaving Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, the American signed a contract until June 2025. This was announced by Leeds United. The 48-year-old succeeds Argentinian Marcelo Bielsa, from whom Leeds parted the day before.

Marsch came from RB Salzburg to the partner club in Leipzig last summer. But he could not fulfill the hopes. His tenure with the Saxons ended after only five months. His successor Domenico Tedesco has now led the team to a place in the Champions League.
