Ex-Gladbach coach Daniel Farke before returning to England to Leeds United

Celtic are also interested

Daniel Farke played his longest stay on the island to date and according to consistent reports, the coach, who recently ended his collaboration with Borussia Mönchengladbach by mutual agreement, could return there faster than expected: the 46-year-old is in the Premier League -Relegated Leeds United as a serious candidate to replace Sam Allardyce.

Allardyce had not been able to save the traditional club from the first relegation from the upper house since 2004 in the last four league games, overall the Whites wore out with the 68-year-old, his predecessor Javi Gracia and the former Leipziger Jesse Marsch in a messed-up season three coaches (excluding interim coach Michael Skubala).

In addition to Farke, Steven Gerrard (last Aston Villa until October 2022) should also be an issue at Leeds, who is aiming for a rebuild in the summer and a timely resurgence. After finalizing the new ownership structure in the club (see below), the search for a coach should pick up speed in the coming week.

Update 3:26 p.m.: After “skyInformation that Transfermarkt can confirm, Scottish champions Celtic Glasgow are also interested in Farkes’ services and have been in touch. There, the German could succeed Ange Postecoglou, who was unveiled as Tottenham Hotspur’s new boss during the week.

Farke and Borussia Mönchengladbach amicably parted ways last week after 36 games (points average 1.28) and just one year after the “foals” with the sixth most valuable squad in the Bundesliga had not managed to get beyond a disappointing tenth place in the table. The coach has now been replaced by ex-Leverkusen Gerardo Seoane in the Lower Rhine.

The former BVB II coach has had a good reputation in England since his time in Norwich, and during his four-year tenure between 2017 and 2021 he led the “Canaries” twice as champions of the Premier League with comparatively modest means. A record that would reportedly fit Leeds’ job profile well.

Leeds United before the upheaval: With a new structure back in the upper house

Meanwhile, the ownership structure of the English club is also changing. As was announced on Friday, “Aser Ventures” and the “49ers Enterprises” from the USA agreed on a deal. Details still need to be worked on. Both are already co-owners of the team led by German defender Robin Koch. “49ers Enterprises”, according to “ESPN” the investment arm of the NFL team San Francisco 49ers, already owns 44 percent of the club. Andrea Radrizzani from “Aser Adventures” is now apparently selling more or all of his remaining 56 percent shares.
