Former Bundesliga striker Bas Dost returns to the Dutch Eredivisie ten years after his €7m move from SC Heerenveen to VfL Wolfsburg. FC Utrecht introduced the 33-year-old, who comes on a free transfer from FC Brugge, on Friday evening. Dost initially signed with the traditional club for one year.
Bruges had signed the 18-time national player in January 2021 for 4 million euros from Eintracht Frankfurt. Dost was champion twice with the Belgians, scoring 24 goals in 57 competitive games.
