With a broad grin, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang held the jersey of Olympique Marseille in his hands after a year in Saudi Arabia. “He runs, he meets, he smiles,” wrote the traditional southern French club in his message. The now 36-year-old attacker from Gabon, who also played for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga in his career characterized by club changes, received a contract with OM, which is valid until the end of June 2027.
“In Marseille he found more than just one club: a theater that is tailored to his body,” it said in the communication of the French championship. Aubameyang had scored 30 goals for Olympique Marseille in the 2023/2024 season. He had dissolved his contract with Al-Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia.
The change from Giannis Konstantelias to VfB Stuttgart broke shortly before the end. Player and club already agreed, and he is said to have had the promise of his club Paok Saloniki. But shortly before departure to Stuttgart, the club owner suddenly took his veto, Konstantelias got no release.
The deal finally burst a few days later, because the Greek creative player has extended his contract with PAOK until 2029. VfB Stuttgart is now dealing with alternatives.
Football record champion Bayern Munich gives Bryan Zaragoza another season to the Spanish league. The outdoor car player will appear for Celta Vigo until next summer, the Munichers announced on Wednesday. Zaragoza has been under contract with FCB since January 2024 and was awarded to CA Osasuna last season.
“Unfortunately, Bryan had a lot of bad luck in the past season. We agree that it is the best way for him when he gains further experience in his Spanish homeland, especially since he is easiest for his dream to go to the World Cup with regular missions for a Spanish first division team who also plays Europa League,” said sports director Christoph Freund.
Zaragoza’s contract with the Munich team runs until June 30, 2029. For the Spanish national team, he has played three international matches (one goal)
