The former CEO of FC Bayern posts a clip on Instagram in which he advertises a questionable concept – and harvests sharp criticism.

Ex-national goalkeeper Oliver Kahn has caused an incomprehension and sharp criticism among his followers with an at least unusual advertising video on Instagram. “You know all this game where you buy streets, build houses on it and take rent,” says the 55-year-old in a self-recorded, shaky video.

He played this game with friends for hours in his youth. The best thing was “if someone ended up on my street and I automatically got money for it,” continued Kahn. Then he comes to the advertised product: “And that will soon be in real life. Thanks to the air over our roofs.”

“How does it work? Whoever has a property” can register it for free on the platform “and soon earn money automatically with the sky.” “Skynopoly” rent the airspace over the houses “legally secure to operators of delivery drones.”

Kahn continues to promise: “And if they fly over your roofs in the future to deliver packages, the cash register rings with you, automatically.” The basic idea: In the case of drone overflow of private space, unlike manned airplanes, the approval of the property owners is required.

A concept that raises questions. A user clearly writes in the comments: “Maestro, legally speaking, the airspace above your roof does not belong to you at all.” And further: “You can’t commercialize it accordingly. And that is also a good thing. Airspace is common. And if taxes for flying over (sic!), Then the state gets. Because the regulations also fly where when and when and where may.”

Another confirmed: “What a nonsense. How can you do a dubious advertising for something like that? The airspace in Germany is responsible for the territorial law (sic!) The Federal Government and no private people (sic!) Or companies.” Another said: “Sorry Oliver, but that sounds rather dubious …”

Kahn himself has not yet commented on the entries. Under his video, he commented: “Sometimes you just have to access – as a goalkeeper, but also as a property owner. Because many do not even know that they can also earn money with the sky above their property.”

From 2021 to 2023, the long -time goalkeeper of FC Bayern was the CEO of the German record champions, and has been without a new position in professional football since his end.
