Jens Scheuer’s engagement with the English women’s first division club Brighton & Hove Albion is already over.
The penultimate table announced on Monday evening that they had mutually agreed on a separation. The former champion coach of Bayern Munich’s women’s soccer team only took over the post at the end of December. Scheuer was the first German coach of a club in the English Women’s Super League, his contract ran until the summer of 2026.
“Together with Jens, this decision has not been an easy one for us and while we appreciate his giving of his all in this role, this feels like the right step forward for everyone involved,” said Technical Director David Weir.
Bayern parted ways with Scheuer last summer after three years. In 2021, the former Freiburg coach won the championship with Munich.
