On Thursday (May 29), the third week in the trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs ended with the witness statement of his former assistant. The fourth week in New York also started with her statement – this time, however, the public prosecutor was not asked, but by Combs’ defenders in the cross -question.
“I was deeply ashamed”
The assistant, which occurs in the procedure under the pseudonym “Mia”, is said to have worked for Combs between 2009 and 2017. Already in the past week she had repeatedly testified regarding alleged sexual abuse by Combs and with regard to a toxic work environment.
As the “New York Times” reports, the defenders Mia in the “Aggressive” courtroom confronted and severely doubt their allegations of abuse. For example, a defender asked why Mia did not report the incidents earlier if they had actually taken place several times. Mia replied: “I was deeply ashamed and I wanted to die.”
In addition to her therapist, she didn’t tell anyone about it. It was only publicly discussed in the course of the investigation against Combs in mid -2024.
Private messages and severance payments
The defenders also pointed out on social media posts and private news that Mia is said to have written during and after their employment at Combs. In a message from 2020 it says in relation to the accused: “I love you from my heart and am there for you forever.” The assistant then stated that Combs had been manipulated.
“I really loved the version of puff, which treated me like a best friend,” she said. And further: “I recently understood what happened to me.” She said that she could only have reflected the abuse afterwards.
Mia said that in 2017 she received a compensation of around $ 400,000 from Combs and its companies without ever mentioned sexual assault.
