“I have been doing exciting things for a long time for the programs that I make, such as the police or visit prisons. This is often about the people I follow and not so much about how I experience it myself, but that is a question that I often get from viewers,” says Genemans. “The book gives a unique look behind the scenes, but also shows how I experienced certain things and what insights I have gained there.”
The book covers the entire TV career of Genemans so far, from the start of his start as an actor in the series So Until the programs he made in recent years, such as Infamous prisons and the series Desk About various police forces in the Netherlands.
“It’s about how I ended up in prison from the zoo,” says the TV maker with a laugh. “It was nice to make, because it also brought me back to all those moments that I have never actually considered long.”
