CWas there a need for a new Turkish series in the afternoon on Canale 5? Yes, if it is a production that has had global success. From today, Monday 15 June, Tutto per la mia famiglia debuts at 3.50pm. The original title is Kardeşlerim, which literally translated means “My brothers”, while internationally it is known as For my family: in fact, it was broadcast in over thirty countries in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Latin America and quickly became a phenomenon of Turkish seriality. In the cast there are faces already known to the Canale 5 audience: On Burcu Yazgı Coşkun, who in A night’s tale plays Canfeza, here she plays Asiye Eren. Ahu Yağtu that in The strength of a woman it was Piril, this is Suzan Ercan.

The plot of Everything for my family centers on the lives of four brothers forced to grow up quickly after a sudden tragedy that changes their lives forever. The story moves between the working-class neighborhoods of Istanbul and the elite environment of the Ataman College, an exclusive school where opposite destinies meet. Here, every encounter becomes a clash of worlds. The story, thus, offers an overview of the contrast between wealth and poverty, between privilege and sacrifice.
Four orphans struggling with a new life
The Eren family lives a daily life made of sacrifices but also of great unity. Veli and Hatice raise their four children, Kadir (Halit Özgür Sarı), Ömer (Yiğit Koçak), Asiye and Emel, with a love that fills the lack of everything else. Their life changes when Hatice, a maid linked to the Atakul family, unintentionally discovers a secret that should never have come to light: the clandestine relationship between Akif Atakul (Celil Nalçakan) and Suzan Ercan (Ahu Yağtu).
From that moment, a chain of events upsets everyone’s peace of mind. A car accident, an escape, a sudden death and a manipulated truth transform the story into a spiral of no return. Within a few hours, Veli and Hatice die, leaving the four brothers completely alone. The Eren family breaks up and a tough battle for survival begins for the boys.
Hatice finds herself witness to an uncomfortable truth inside the Atakul villa. The secret concerns Akif and Suzan: they are in a relationship. Akif tries to control the situation and, during a car ride with Hatice, there is a terrible accident which also involves Fikret, who dies instantly.
Hatice ends up in hospital in very serious conditions while Akif leaves without intervening. Veli is determined to get justicehas no intention of letting it go. Determined to clarify the incident, joins Akif at the construction site where he worksfinding it on the top floor of the building under construction. Akif insinuates that it was Hatice who was having an affair with her driver. Veli attacks him, but during the fight he falls into the void and dies instantly.
Hatice’s death turns everything upside down
Shortly afterHatice also dies in hospital, leaving her four children orphaned in a matter of hours. While some relatives consider solutions that risk separating them, Kadir rejects any hypothesis of division.
Uncle Orhan (Cüneyt Mete) offers them initial support, despite the resistance of his wife Şengül (Fadik Sevin Atasoy).. While Kadir looks for work without luck, Sengül forces Asiye to work as a maid to help with expenses. Coexistence soon turns into a minefield. And the economic difficulties are starting to weigh more than they should.
Where it was filmed Everything for my family
Filming of the series mainly involved Istanbul, in particular the Fatih neighborhood. The Ataman College, was recreated on the premises of the Kemerburgaz Science Private School in the Eyüpsultan district.
In Türkiye the series debuted on ATV on February 20, 2021 and ended on June 8, 2024 after four seasons and 132 episodes which have always occupied the most important slot in the Turkish TV schedule: Saturdays at 8pm.
