The Champions League playoff battle between Atalanta and Dortmund will go down in football history because of its memorable and dramatic ending.
The match was at 3–1 for Atalanta and with a total of 3–3 when Dortmund’s goalkeeper Gregor Kobel in a completely pressure-free place gave a horrible stray pass to the opponent’s leg in the extra time of the second half. A concentration followed, which Atalanta were aiming for in the box Nikola Krstović and Dortmund Ramy Bensebain.
Bensebaini, who ran into the wrong situation, tried to fix the situation by kicking the ball that fell behind him. At the same time, Krstović charged towards it head first.
