A child is exempted from compulsory schooling because there is obviously no place in the funding institution in all of Berlin. A comment from BZ editor Sara Orlos Fernandes.

In the Finnja case, the district and senate are making things particularly easy for themselves. The fact that there has been no reaction here for months is a sign of poverty.

Politicians have been talking about inclusion for years, children with disabilities are integrated into regular classes, but individual cases like Finnja have obviously been forgotten.

The offers for children with ADHD and autism who cannot attend regular classes urgently need to be expanded. The task of education must not be left to the parents. Every child deserves to go to school and to be around other children.
