Evert Santegoeds finds it ‘pathetic’ that Gordon has deleted his page on Instagram. According to the Private Boss, he is purely interested in attention. “Don’t fall for it!”
Gordon shouts every now and then that he has been reborn, only wants positivity and is ready for a new beginning. Nothing new, but he still managed to make it into the show categories last week by wiping out his Instagram page. What is the new beginning that Goor hints at? In any case, not canceling his Radio 10 show, he says.
Pathetic
Private boss Evert Santegoeds was already aware of Gordon’s action in advance, he says in the podcast Strictly Private. “This week I received a call from someone who said: ‘Gordon is going to empty his entire Instagram again. Don’t fall for it, because he is only doing that for a lot of attention.’ A phone call that it is going to happen.”
He continues: “And yes, on Friday I think it suddenly happened! Suddenly that Instagram went empty. I thought: we don’t pay any attention to that. Yes, we are talking about it now, but this is his way of generating attention. It is a bit pathetic, I must say.”
Attention
Pathetic, Evert thinks. Does his co-host Jordi Versteegden agree? “Yes,” he agrees.
Evert: “It’s the only way he gets attention anymore: emptying your Insta.”
Jordi: “He wants to make a new beginning, he writes.”
Evert: “Yes, then everyone starts speculating again: what then? Will his radio show stop?”
No problem
That morning show on Radio 10 has not yet been canceled. “No, still not for some reason,” says Evert. “But yes, the longer you talk about it, the more you let Gordon have his way.”
Jordi: “So we don’t have to worry about Gordon, do you think?”
Evert concludes: “No, I have never done that, not even when there was reason to do so.”
