Evert Sankrediets says sorry to Wesley Sneijder straight into the camera

Evert Sankrediets has apologized to Wesley Sneijder straight into the camera of Shownieuws. The program has made a lot of blunders and therefore started a rectification yesterday.

Just two weeks ago, André Hazes Jr. and Wesley Sneijder were involved as bystanders in a disturbance in Amsterdam. The images of that have – how could it be otherwise – leaked through the juice channels, in this case Reality FBI. Shownieuws also broadcast the images, but mistakenly circled one of the fighters as if it were Wesley.

Correction

Wesley Sneijder’s brother, Rodney, has been quite angry about that. Apparently Wesley himself also contacted Shownieuws, because yesterday the program started with an extensive rectification.

Presenter Annemarie Brüning: “We start the show tonight with a correction from last night.”

Evert Sankrediets: “Yes, and then you will automatically come to me. Last night we showed images of a disturbance in Amsterdam in which Wesley Sneijder and André Hazes were involved. An error was made when we started that video.”

“Sorry, Wesley”

What went wrong? “A circle has been put around the wrong head, so that you get the impression – while I was just telling you that Wesley was trying to prevent the fight – that he did get hit on the head there and was seriously involved in it . That is not the case.”

Evert showed the fragment again, but now the right person was designated as Wesley. “This is the right Wesley, I hope, which we are showing now.”

Then straight into the camera: “It was pretty stupid that it went wrong yesterday and that’s why we say generously: sorry, Wesley Sneijder.”
