AMSTERDAM – Davide Ghiotto skated a world record in the 10 kilometers for the second time in a skating season on Saturday evening. The first, held last October in Inzell, did not count because it was a training race; this weekend’s event in Calgary will go down in history. With his 12.25.70, the Italian stayer erased the top time of Nils van der Poel (12.30.74), with which the Swede won Olympic gold in 2022.
