Angela Groothuizen never wants to join the talk show Op1 again. She says she is called regularly, but will always say ‘no’. “Even though Madonna is dead.”
The 63-year-old Angela Groothuizen has been very angry about her television career lately. She shouts everywhere that she has very much doubted whether she still wants to continue because of the hardened climate in the showbiz world. In other words: in 2023, the celebrities will not only hear yes and amen and they will take some getting used to.
Never again in Op1
Angela now calls out in the TROS Kompas, a weekly paper edition in which you can find what is being broadcast on linear television that evening, spread over 120 pages, that she never wants to go to Op1 again.
The TV personality says: “I like judging and coaching, but otherwise I don’t know about television. In any case, I will no longer appear on talk shows. A while ago I was in Op1 to talk about The Tribute -Battle of the Bands, but then the candle incident had just happened in Today Inside, so it was mainly about that!”
‘Even though Madonna is dead’
For that reason, Angela is terribly turned off on Op1. “I do get a few calls a week, but I say thank you. Even if Madonna is dead or has a third tit, I will not come.”
Why Angela even thinks she should be called when Madonna is dead is unclear, but she’s not coming anyway. “It is all too much the delusion of the day and everyone talks too much about everything. Above all, I have decided that I want to be more careful with my time.”
Another twenty years
Angela says she wants to be much more selective. “Because I may have another twenty or thirty years and I don’t want to mix everything up like before.”
Ah, this all starts out a bit like a late life crisis to sound. It’s all about accepting that you’ve already passed the peak of your life. Still a common denominator with Madonna…
