Clueso and Deichkind release a single together with a video. See and hear “Even in the Bentley people cry”:

The collaboration came about because Deichkind had embarked on an unofficial tour of Germany for the production of their eighth album NEUES VOM DAUERZUSTAND. Rappers Porky and Kryptik Joe have visited a number of artist friends over the past year. Among other things, Clueso in Erfurt. In one of the old-school hip-hop sessions they described in this way, “Will We Weep Also in the Bentley” came about. The line that gives the theme and the title goes back to an idea by Clueso (and for the older ones among us also to Kettcar’s “Im Taxi Weinen”), whose chorus burns into her head. The electronic producer duo Donkong is responsible for the beat of the usual cynical tech rap track.

And because hip-hop aesthetics is the little brother of greater opulence and the second image of a really rich lifestyle, the artists and the director La Perla not only knew how to use the Bentley as a projection surface for criticism of capitalism, but also for themselves. Seamlessly linked to the content, the video shows what else luxury cars can do. It was shot with a built-in camera.

The single will also be released on February 17th on the Deichkind album NEUES VOM DAUERSTATE. Clueso has released his last album to date, ALBUM 2021.
