No gold at the World Cup Athletics in Tokyo for Eveline Saalberg from Vessem. The Dutch relay women on the 4×400 meters were unable to prolong their world title on Sunday. The team with Saalberg, Lieke Klaver, Lisanne de Witte and Femke Bol took the bronze medal in the final.

The American team was inimitable and captured the gold. Orange finished well behind the winners in a time of 3.20.18. Jamaica ran to the silver. Bol started her round in third, but the final runner did not succeed in closing the hole.

The Dutch quartet defended the world title in Tokyo. Bol, Klaver, Saalberg and Cathelijn Peeters conquered the gold at the 2023 World Cup in Budapest. Last year the team achieved silver at the Olympic Games in a Dutch record of 3.19.503.
