‘Eva Jinek no longer wants to compete with Arjen Lubach’

Eva Jinek is going to request RTL 4 for a new broadcast time for her late talk show. At least, that’s what former SBS 6 boss Tina Nijkamp suspects. “She doesn’t want to face Arjen Lubach anymore.”

Eva Jinek’s viewing figures are currently fluctuating considerably compared to Arjen Lubach’s program. She started her current season excellently, but when Arjen came around the corner after a week, Eva’s scores dropped considerably. Yesterday it was not too bad: Arjen scored 1 million viewers (27 percent) and Eva had 749 thousand (20 percent).

On the bell at RTL

But last Tuesday Eva caught on to 564 thousand viewers, while Arjen also had more than 1 million viewers. The presenter will not like the swinging back and forth with the viewing figures, thinks Tina.

Tina thinks that Eva is going to sound the alarm at RTL. “Arjen Lubach scores again above the million. Eva Jinek will now really ask if she can NOT be programmed against Arjen Lubach next season because her figures have become a lot wobblier.”

To eleven o’clock?

The only solution would be to move Eva from her current time at 10 p.m. to 10.45 p.m. or 11 p.m., but then RTL 4 would have to start broadcasting extra programs again at prime time. The channel has reduced that number from two to one to save a lot of money.

Of the other talk shows, Today Inside did the best yesterday; 755 thousand people (16 percent) watched it. Khalid & Sophie scored 588 thousand viewers (16 percent) and HLF8 had 265 thousand (6 percent).

disaster flight

The premiere of the drama series Rampvlucht about the air disaster in the Bijlmer was the big winner in prime time with 1.3 million viewers (26 percent) on NPO 1. Tina speaks of a ‘very impressive start’, also in the commercial target group 20 to 54 years. In this, the series achieves almost 23 percent market share.

AD opinion diva Angela de Jong writes: “I didn’t think Disaster Flight would hit me like that. I was skeptical, a drama series about the Bijlmer disaster in which facts and fiction freely intertwine? Rather risky at a time when conspiracy theories are rampant. But the first episode hit me full.”
