Eva Jinek uses not only her editors but also herself to get Marco Borsato for a TV interview. “He’s constantly on the phone with Marco. Yes, I’m sure. For sure.”
It is inevitable that Marco Borsato will appear on a talk show next year to tell his story once about the abuse accusation for which he was acquitted. “I’m sure: it will be a choice between RTL Tonight or Eva for Marco, and then the choice will of course be made quickly,” says Jordi Versteegden in Show news.
‘Eva calls herself!’
Telegraaf reporter Jordi thinks it will take a while. “I know that Marco has something else on his mind at the moment, namely recovering from that case. I am sure that he will not be seen anywhere in the coming months, but that the editors of Eva and Eva themselves are constantly on the phone with Marco, yes, I am sure. For sure.”
When Eva Jinek is asked what her dream guest is for the coming year, she answers: “I think I have spoken to almost all the famous people in the Netherlands at least once, which is very honorable, but for me, talking to people who don’t often sit at a talk show table and then making the story work… That’s why I do it.”
Never no
So Eva does not mention a celebrity’s name or Marco’s. “So it is not a name that I already know, but preferably someone who has not been to the table often,” she says.
Jordi after the item: “She doesn’t mention Marco’s name now.”
Show expert Bart Ettekoven: “But of course she will never say no if he calls her and says: ‘Can I come and do it?’ But wouldn’t Marco go for a newspaper interview? A written thing. That is a bit safer than live on television.”
Plan the campaign
There will be a media strategy, Jordi thinks. “I think that ultimately there will be a plan for the campaign and that Marco will then want to announce a Ziggo Dome concert. Maybe he will turn it into a two-stage rocket. Just like when he was with Linda de Mol on the couch. I wouldn’t do that again if I were him. I didn’t think that was a very nice interview.”
Bart: “But I can see a big interview in the LINDA happening.”
Jordi concludes: “I think it will be a combination of TV and newspaper.”
